Now that summer is around the corner, it’s the perfect time to explore the plethora of food and drink options across the region. There are loads of great street food places on our network just a stone's throw from the station and we've taken a look at some of the best street food joints across the network and have compiled them into this really handy guide.

The Nottingham Street Food Club Pop Up was launched in 2017, on the upper floor of the Victoria Centre after a string of successful outdoor events the year prior. Now, Nottingham Street Food club delivers a rotating roster of local traders, providing food from across the world.

Now operating from Sneinton Market Avenues, Nottingham Street Food Club offers an array of traders every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with a soundtrack of some of the best local musicians to complement your afternoon and evening. Tables go quick here, so you’ll need to book well ahead of time.

Food at Bustler Derby

Bustler, Derby

Back at a brand new venue for 2021, Bustler now holds the crown for Derby’s biggest beer garden. The Chocolate Factory venue hosts some of the UK’s best street food traders on a weekly basis - all served up with banging tunes and a mixture of craft beer and cocktails.

There are big plans for the new venue, too. Think- beer festivals, brunches, cinema nights, awards, gigs and markets. Bustler is four-legged friendly, so your pooch is more than welcome to come along, too.

Peddler Market, Sheffield

Nestled in Neepsend in Sheffield, Peddler Market is a monthly mix of award-winning street food, craft beer, cocktails, and live music. There’s a community feel here, and you’ll struggle to decide what to fill your belly with, as the options are endless.

Founded in 2014, Peddler is all about the best of the best. Peddler is passionate, and favourites from them include Shoot the Bull, Buddha Belly, Baked in Brick and Magic Rock Brewery. Whenever you choose to visit, you won’t be disappointed by what’s on offer.

Duke Street Market

Duke Street Market, Liverpool

With six kitchens, one fifty-cover restaurant, a coffee and wine kiosk, and a bar and roof terrace, there isn’t much missing from Duke Street! Although traders are a little more permanent than at some of the other food markets, the social eating concept is still very much alive. Sit (socially distanced) at a communal table, or head up to the mezzanine area to get a bird’s eye view of all of the action.

A relatively new edition to Manchester’s bustling food and drink scene, Escape to Freight Island is a concept with a difference. Hidden in plain sight, this is a long-forgotten freight depot, reinvented. Consisting of more than 80,000 square feet, 12 kitchens, 5 bars, 3 terraces and a performance stage, it’s easy to see why this has fast become one of the city’s hotspots.

Enjoy everything from 22” Pizza pies by the slice from Voodoo Rays, a special wood-fired ‘Asador’ grill from Baratxuri, stunning Taco’s from Madre, a master pâtissier and coffee from Krum, or outstanding authentic Vietnamese dishes from Mi & Pho.

The event’s LCB Depot is the perfect location for these thriving independent businesses who are all creatively helping to create an exciting monthly night of street food.

And no need to worry about the typical English weather, as every table is seated under cover.
