Bottesford Station Platform 1 car park closed for five weeks from 18th May

We are carrying out a series of improvements at Bottesford station to enhance safety and the overall customer experience. Funded by Melton Borough Council, these upgrades include:

  • Full resurfacing of the station car park
  • Re-lining to provide 12 standard parking spaces and 2 accessible bays
  • Installation of new lighting columns to improve visibility during hours of darkness
  • New CCTV to enhance security
  • A new cycle shelter, increasing capacity from 4 to 16 spaces
  • New signage directing customers to the Platform 2 car park via Palmer Avenue

Parking at the station

Customers wishing to park at the station should use the Platform 2 car park, located at the end of Palmer Avenue.

For safety, customers must use the designated walking route at all times. The level crossing should only be used where absolutely necessary, and those with reduced mobility should continue to follow existing arrangements, using the crossing telephone to contact the signaller before crossing.

The route is clearly signposted and takes around five minutes, meaning customers should allow extra time to park and catch their preferred service.

Level crossing information

The level crossing should only be used where absolutely necessary. Trains can approach quickly and may not be immediately visible or audible.

Misuse of the crossing can put you at serious risk. Customers with reduced mobility who need to use the level crossing should continue to follow existing arrangements and must use the telephone provided to contact the signaller before crossing.

We’d like to thank you for your patience and understanding while these important improvements are delivered. Once complete, the upgrades will provide a safer and more secure station for everyone.
