To keep things simple all our recruitment is done online and as such we do not have any hard copy application forms in the business.

We receive so many applications we are unable to keep your details on file. However, register for job alerts and be the first to know when the role or location you're looking for becomes available. You are able to reapply for the same job role 6 months after your most recent unsuccessful application.

We require all applicants to complete the online application form for a specific role to ensure that all applications can be screened on a consistent basis. You can attach your CV to your application, but as we operate blind shortlisting, please make sure you have removed all personal information (Name, DOB, address, email address etc.)

No, we do not levy any charges for applications and do not associate with any internationally-based organisations claiming to provide visa sponsorship.

Yes, we recruit full and part-time positions in the same way. If a position is available part-time it will be advertised as such.

Depending on business need we may at times offer work experience or university/student placements. When these are available they will be advertised on our careers page.

East Midlands Railway do not run a Graduate Scheme. We do, however, welcome applications from recent graduates to any of the roles advertised on our website.

Yes. All roles are offered subject to receiving medical and drugs & alcohol clearance. Jobs within the business which are deemed to be safety-critical require a more stringent on-employment medical.

All onboard and station staff wear uniforms. Employees behind the scenes are not required to wear a uniform but smart business dress is encouraged.
