Yes, all stations will have a 30 minute grace period, allowing you to pick up or drop off without needing to pay or being issued with a PCN. If you outstay the grace period, you will either need to pay for parking or be issued with a Parking Charge.
Each time a vehicle enters and then exits a car park is classed as a visit. The duration of the visit is logged when the vehicle exits. Once a vehicle has exited, further entries to the same car park are treated as separate visits. No non-return period is set unless specifically agreed.
A customer could therefore drive out and back in again, or could stay in place and pay for parking to avoid being issued with a Parking Charge.
Yes, all our car parks will operate on a Pay on Arrival model so you need to pay upon entry to the car park and before travelling.
No, once you have registered your vehicle and ANPR is live, you no longer need to display a car parking permit.
Note that some of our non-ANPR car parks will continue to be operated on a Pay and Display basis and you will still need to display a ticket in your vehicle at these car parks. Details of these car parks can be found on our website.
Parking will become free for all Blue Badge holders at ANPR car parks, including at car parks where disabled bays are currently within the paid zones. To qualify for free parking, Blue Badge holders will need to register their vehicles on the APCOA Blue Badge portal using this link https://bluebadge.apcoa.co.uk/ .
When parking, please ensure that your Blue Badge is displayed at all times. If dedicated Blue Badge bays are occupied, please park within any available standard bay and display your Blue Badge.
For further assistance, please refer to the APCOA user guide here: https://www.apcoa.co.uk/fileadmin/user_upload/UK/APCOA_Blue_Badge_user_guide.pdf
Where available, motorcyclists can utilise the designated motorcycle car park spaces at our stations. Otherwise, they should utilise a regular car park space. Where motorcycle parking is within the areas controlled by ANPR equipment, motorcyclists will still need to pay for their parking otherwise a Parking Charge will be issued.
Customers who want to request a refund on their parking should contact APCOA's Customer Service Team via email at [email protected]

Outside of the uses specified within the Privacy Policy, usage of footage is strictly limited to Law Enforcement Agencies and specific circumstances where APCOA is required to share information by law.
All EMR station car parks are payable daily. For the vast majority of customers, even during disruption, they will arrive back at their car on the same day and therefore no further charges will be due.
For the very small minority of customers who are affected by disruption and don’t arrive back to their car on the same day, they will be required pay the additional car parking charge and advised to contact EMR’s Customer Service for this amount to be refunded.
No, ANPR will only manage access to car parks. Other parking irregularities will continue to be managed by EMR’s Revenue Protection Team.

You must register for Late Pay within 24 hours of arrival. If you pay for parking later than their arrival, or do not register for Late Pay within 24 hours of arrival, you will receive a Penalty Charge, as the entry and exit time won’t match the payment details.
Unfortunately there are no reserved spaces in our car parks and they operate on a 'first come, first serve' basis. If you have a Season ticket and are unable to find a space at one of our car parks, please contact our Customer Service Centre.
You can pay by using the secure portal: https://pcnpayments.apcoa.co.uk/
or alternatively by sending a cheque or postal order made out to APCOA (UK) Ltd to
PO Box 5767, IV15 0AX
Please ensure you have your Parking Charge Notice / Excess Charge Notice / Penalty Notice Number and your vehicle registration number at hand. Please include a stamped addressed envelope if you require a receipt of payment.
Further details will be provided by APCOA should your appeal be rejected. Your appeal will only be rejected if we believe there are no reasonable mitigations for why the appropriate parking tariff has not been paid, in which case the Parking Charge amount would need to be paid.
Alternative payment options are available including pay stations at every station.
ANPR sites are considered more secure than sites without ANPR. As ANPR cameras are ‘always on’ 24/7, they provide an added deterrent as opposed to intermittent manned patrols.
Reasons ANPR sites are more secure:
- Audit Trail & Monitoring:
o ANPR systems automatically log every vehicle entry/exit with timestamp and plate number.
o Helps with investigations and monitoring unusual activity.- Deterrence:
o Presence of ANPR cameras can deter unauthorised or criminal activity (e.g., theft, fly-tipping, unauthorised parking).
- Deterrence:
We will also continue to have extensive CCTV coverage in these car parks to support with preventing and, if necessary, reporting any security issues.
If you have pre-paid for parking and no space is available, please contact APCOA's Customer Service Team via email at [email protected] who will be able to arrange a refund.
Season Tickets can be cancelled by logging in to your account at: https://seasontickets.apcoa.co.uk/
Season Ticket FAQs can be found here: https://seasontickets.apcoa.co.uk/faq
To request a refund, please contact APCOA's Customer Service Team via email at [email protected] . Please ensure to include your booking reference number, vehicle registration and car park location within your email.
As Season Tickets are sold at a discounted rate, refunds can only be offered in limited circumstances.
On the first day of the ANPR installation works, the existing car park barriers will be removed and customers will be asked to pay for parking via different payment channels.
For those customers that have already entered the car park using their existing season ticket (i.e. before the barriers are removed), there is no requirement to pay for parking again on their return.
As the season ticket is no longer a valid means of payment, customers should hand it in at the station ticket office where it was purchased as soon as possible to obtain a refund for the period of parking still remaining before the expiry date.
Digital receipts are issued automatically to the email address used for payment. Printed receipts are only available if parking is purchased from the station ticket office.
You can get receipts by logging into the receipt portal. All receipts are held in the portal to be downloaded when required. Simply enter their vehicle registration number (VRN) and payment date. You must be the person registered as the keeper of the vehicle being entered or authorised by them to use and register that vehicle.
