Journey information

The line starts at Barton upon Humber a historic town, close to the Humber Bridge, then moves on to Barrow Haven, New Holland, Goxhill and Thornton Abbey with its imposing medieval gatehouse. The line then passes through Ulceby & Habrough where it joins the mainline from Scunthorpe and passes through the villages of Stallingborough, Healing and Great Coates before entering the bustling fishing port of Grimsby and arriving at the seaside town of Cleethorpes.

The Barton Cleethorpes Community Rail Partnership (BCCRP) is a group which act as a voice for passengers, communities, town and parish councils, businesses and volunteer groups along the rail corridor giving them a voice so they can play an active role in the delivery of their local rail service, developing community projects and promoting public transport as a greener way to travel.

Their vision is to help create a vibrant and busy train service that links Barton upon Humber to Cleethorpes and its intermediate stations, encouraging people to live in, work in and visit North & North East Lincolnshire.
